Interference ae0273B. Speaker noise

Postby Chrisgroot » Sat Sep 29, 2018 8:51 pm

I've bought a pumpkin ae0273B.
All is great except the static noise over the speakers as soon as I turn the volume to 1.

It doesnt get worse when the engine is on.
I've grounded the radio on three points.
Wifi on or off doesn't help.
Bluetooth on or off doesnt help.

It gets worse when I touch the screen.
The volume of the noise stays the same but it cracks and changes when touching the screen.

So, what's the solution? Or is it just poor quality?
My Pioneer DA120 and OEM radio were without interference.

This radio sucks... If there is no solution I will return it.

Dear customer,

Thank you and have you checked about the cable connection?
If your headunit got a bad cable connection,it will be like that somehow.
Thank you.

Same problem here. I found out that the noise starts when I connect the wifi antenna.
Everything is fine after a reboot if only 12V power and speakers are connected.
Not so keen on opening my brand new unit and try to fix this myself, but sending the unit back is not an option.

Any help from Pumpkin maybe?

Hi Jam,

Today I tried to simulate it again, but it is different today.
I started with disconnecting all connectors, and only reconnect the connector with power and speakers.
When turning the unit on android is starting up and there is no interference. When connecting the wifi antenna, nothing changes (as for the last time I tried this the interference began when I connected the wifi antenna). Today the noise started when I disconnected the wifi again.

Hi,
the noise seems to be the radio station noise , you can try to enter the radio app and click the return icon on the right upon corner to close the radio app .
