New Pumpkin owner needs help with tethering and startup

Hello,
I have just installed the C0250-1 in my vehicle. I was able to get a connection to the wifi hotspot on my iphone and download a few apps and stream some music. It's impressive however after turning off the vehicle and turning back on the system must completely reboot and doesnt reconnect automatically to the iphones hotspot. After awhile it states that theres an authentication problem. I have checked to be sure that a constant 12v is being supplied to this units battery terminal. Also the hotspot is up and running on my phone.
Any idea how to remedy these issues?

Could you mind share your cellphone's hotspots without password, and then check? It maybe related to that the hotspots data may not be able to save to the radio after turned the radio off.

While I'm not really into the idea of leaving my hotspot open and un-encrypted I will try it for the sake of troubleshooting this issue.
Is there a recommended USB modem compatible with this unit available for purchase that I can place another sim card into so that my phone does not need to be present?
I am also noticing long boot times after the car sits awhile. I'd really like it to sleep rather than power down. I set it for the max time of 2hrs after ignition off. Will see if that helps.

The unit can only support few range of WCDMA Bandwidth 3G USB modem to work, and it can only support 7.2Mbps internet speed for that, so I think it will not good for you to use. The best idea is to get a WIFI router which support insert your local SIM card to use and send out 2.4GHz WIFI hotspots, so you can connect your phone and the radio both to the WIFI router. Please note that the radio do not support 5GHz WIFI signal to work, as the buil tin WIFI chip do not support that.
