PUMPKIN CAR STEREO SUPPORT CENTER

hello,

I have this head unit:-

Pumpkin Android 8.0 Double Din Car stereo

bought on Amazon order 204-5139141-3648323

Great unit ,fast, responsive and has given me no problems except trying to get the steering wheel buttons to work.

Car is a Mazda 2 1.5 sport 2009

Initially tried connecting key1, key2 and ground wires to respective lines coming from the Mazda connector but key presses not recognised.

Then bought Dynamaic Sounds CTSMZ002.2 Steering Wheel Stalk Control Adaptor Lead For Mazda 2, 5, MX-5 and replaced the Pumpkin key wires (all three) to this harness.

Still no wheel keys recognised.

When I select steering wheel control settings in car settings, the screen is plain white. No key pressing on wheel changes the Pumpkin screen. Pressing "CLEAR" does not do anything.

Do I need to change the Wheel key default configs in Factory setup (currently set to "Generic") or do I need to change parameters in Canbox settings?

Your help would be appreciated, as its my wifes car and she really wants this working

Can you tell me the SKU of the radio? There is an SKU label on the back of the radio or on the package box. Cheers

Please take a look at the picture attached. Check if the Key1 key2 and GND are connected to the corresponding cables of the adapter. Press the steering wheel buttons first. Then you may select steering wheel control settings in-car settings. Thanks a lot for your attention.

keys are correctly connected (checked with meter). Still no input registered on Pumpkin unit.


I still get a white screen on the Wheelkey screen. Should I not see the icons for the keys?

I searched for fw20 and did not see anything that I was allowed to see, only one thing in the sale section or somthing which you need a post to view, so tada. Anyway, I have a fw20 deck and when you hit play on either side it usually spins but the left side of the tape just keeps getting eaten up, like maybe only on of the reels is spinning. anyone know how to fix this?
