I have the exact same issue but with the ND0286B. volume zero, no noise. Volume 1, noise/static. I thought it was because I was using a 4 channel amp. disconnecting the speaker wires makes the noise go away, obviously. It's not related to the amp as the noise goes away after disconnecting the RCA cables from the back of the head unit. I thought it was a gain issue, It's not. I thought it was a grounding issue, It's not. I swapped RCA cables, the noise remains. I am very close to asking for a complete refund and sending it back.
