thank you for the swift reply. I took another 8Gb SD card, formatted it fresh to FAT32 and loaded the firmware that you have provided. This time round the update process completed successfully. However, the unit is still in the endless boot loop.

So far I've tried:
update system/mcu image from sd card
update system/mcu image from sd card and clear all

The unit is still in the endless boot loop.

Could you please tell me what does this option do:
wipe all data/factory and cache reset

If this is a factory reset to the bare bone unit as it came from the factory before you load any software?

Especially the SD card/USB stick storage size(within 32GB), the update.img file need to be put in the root inventory of the SD card or USB stick.

The trouble is, the updater does not see the SD card or the USB port.
