Hi,
For reverse camera problem, it might be the imcompatibility between the CANBUS and the unit .You can try to cut off the "reverse" wire from CANBUS and derrectly connect it to the positive pole of reverse light.

I don't use a reverse camera. So two options i preferred.

1. I have the stock VW reverse peep. Maybe it's possible to see a graphic with the actual distance?
2. deactivate the blackscreen to have the regular screen
