That's not true at all. I figured how to solve the problem myself.

The only problem here is the resolution of the device not working with a lot of apps. I got to the dialogue where you can choose the offline map location with an attached ps4 dualshock controller since i'm able to jump arround with the arrow keys with it.

Now i can download the offline maps to the attached sd card.

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply due to the weekend.
There is not a new update firmware for your unit.
About the google offline maps, it may have relation with the internal memory limitation or the app resolution compatibility, and some apps can only be installed into the internal memory. Sorry about this.

I hope there's an update since i'm having really big problems with google maps. In the offline maps settings i cant select an external sd card. The selection screen seems to be too small so i can't scroll down. I'm only able to select the internal card (which is way too small for offline maps).

Hi,
Could you please tell us the current firmware version on your unit?
Normally we don't suggest our client update the firmware when the unit works as it should.
If you still want, once we have the new, we can send it to you.
For the navigation, you can use other maps, such as Sygic, here maps and waze.

Hey there,

i just bought this radio from amazon https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00UT6 ... UTF8&psc=1 and i'm wondering where i can find the newest firmware?

Also there is no other navigation installed than Google Maps. Shouldn't there be an extra offline navigation app? iGo or something? Where can i download that?
