Hi, it is impossible . But you can use 3G or 4G dongle.Please notice ,the pumpkin unit only support the sim card with WCDMA format.

Another question. Is it possible to bypass the internal wifi, so that an USB Wifi Dongle will be recognized?

Hi,it didn't miss mac address of the internal wifi and the wifi and Bluetooth are not one chip .
As the internal wifi module isn't broken,so the unit won''t recognize other wifi dongle.I still suggest you contact the pumpkin customer service or write to support@autopumpkin.com to change the CPU board .

I did every steps. Also bought the Wifi Dongle and it still doesn't work.

Is there a complete flash not just an update? Maybe the partition where some stuff for wifi is stored got lost?

As I've seen wifi and Bluetooth are one chip and Bluetooth still works without problems, so maybe just a file is missing for the Mac address of the internal wifi.

Or how do I get Android to recognize my wifidongle? (There's just a millisecond green flashing led from the dongle, but turning on wifi won't work with or without the dongle)

I tried as said (installed the new firmware from the download link and also did a full wipe)

It didn't help. I can't even turn Wifi on anymore. Under advanced Settings the MAC Adress is 02:00:00:00:00:00

For me it seems there's a hardware issue. I bought the unit from eBay on the 13th of August 2018. Heres the Transaction Number 273122821695
How we can solve the issue? Everything else works fine except Wifi since some days.

Is this Firmware also for the 1024 x 600 version of the headunit?

By the way, since today the Wifi is completly turned off and can't be turned back on.

Please download the img files to the root content of one sd card or USB stick, then insert the card into the GPS slot or USB slot,then click settings - system - system update.

My Headunit seems to have the same problem. The Wifi Connection turns itself off. For me it seems to be a bad solder joint or something like that, because when it's on and i drive over a bump the wifi gets lost immediately.

I am having the same issue with this unit. Support send me a newer firmware, but this ddi not fix the issue :-
