One of the key issues with the internal microphone is that it is too quiet.

In terms of returning the unit to China, happy if you could send me details on this in terms of where to send and cost of repair and turnaround time.

In terms of a replacement, what model would be the replacement and what price would this be in GBP?

But i'm still sorry for the unexpected trouble brought to you.
As for me, it's not a serious issue, you can use the internal mic to make call via Bluetooth.
If you want to solve the external mic problem, I suggest you return it back to China for repair.
Cause this unit had been stopped production for nearly a year, we could not send you a new unit for exchange.
Hope your understanding.
There is also another workaround solution, you can consider to buy a new release unit from us, we give you best discount.

I ordered on Amazon 026-3793938-5298727 is the order number.

I would like the following confirmed if at all possible:
1) The Microphone connects to the 3.5mm input
2) Any Microphone with a 3.5mm jack will work.

Looking at the thread above, it appears there is a known fault with pumpkin units when using external microphones.

I have lost the external microphone for the above unit and have purchased another microphone with 3.5mm jack. I have tested this on my PC and this works fine. However, when I plug this into my unit it does not pick up any sound. There appears to be only one connection to plug in this microphone. I have never used an external microphone on this unit so am unable to determine whether there was a fault when this item was delivered. Please can you help as I have attempted you through your email route and have had very little to no success.
