That's the factory default design, now we don't have a way to change it, sorry about this.
But we will submit your issue to the factory and try to give you a proper solution.

I looked in the "about this tablet" section of the settings but I couldn't see a current system version, but I found the following:

model No S07
MCU version MTCB-KLD6-V2-86
Kernel version 3.0.36+

Where you can touch "System Update" it comes up with the phrase, "It can't find an update"

All due respect to you and Pumpkin. Jammy, but I'm a bit doubtful that an existing update will fix the issue. I have a replacement unit from my previous one (which had a broken CD drive) the help team sent me several updates for that unit and it behaved exactly the same, the volume always defaulted to 12.

If you just turn the unit off and then back on, it will probably remember the last volume setting, but if you leave it off overnight it will go back to 12.

Given that its happened on the 2 machines I've had, I wonder of its a bug that should be addressed in a new update.

I would be interested to hear your thoughts. Thanks.

I've been trying to get my Android based unit to remember the volume - its in the setting and I change it, but whenever I turn the unit back on it has reset itself to 12. Its obviously not the end of the world, but it would be nice to know if it is possible to set it how I want. This is in a Golf Mk 6 if that makes a difference.

Cheers.
