The Verizon iPhone offers WiFi tethering with the hot spot feature directly from the iPhone. To use this feature you must be subscribed to the $20 tethering package from Verizon. If you jailbreak your iPhone and download the My WiFi app then Verizon will have no way of knowing that you are tethering...
