The stereo is fitted in a BMW E90 and you supply a metal bracket to relocate the heater controls, the digitiser cable is located at the bottom of the screen and has been rubbing on this metal bracket and has broken it

I have contacted customer services but have not had a reply, i have found the problem
the bottom of the unit has been rubbing the metal bracket that was supplied to hold the heater controls and it has rubbed through the digitiser cable.

After sorting the original problems with this unit i really like it but i am having the google services crashing problem, i have tried to install the two files you have provided but my system just fails to install either of them.

what can i do ?

Thanks, I have updated firmware and it has fixed the issue with the unit loosing it's memory so could have been corrupt firmware originally as I have not changed the wiring.
The vehicle app still doesn't work though and I'm gathering that this app controls the heated seats and window blinds.

Hi No I'm not using obd2 but I do plan to so if you could send the updated firmware it may help. The yellow wire is already connected to the battery and even if I switch the unit off on the power button with the ignition on it still looses all settings.
