An update on this. The unit was definitely faulty. Now got a Pumpkin 8.0 instead and I'm very pleased with it (apart from the poor fit due to 15mm bezel).

Why have you made the front facia bezel on the unit so thick? It's 15mm, which is a lot. It's much thicker than my older Pumpkin unit. It means that the bezel hits the DIN cage, so the unit does not sit flush with the dashboard and looks ugly. My older unit used to sit flush. This is rather disappoi...

Hi. I have just bought a Universal DIN octa-core Android 7.1.2 unit. I have wired it in via my car's DIN connector. The unit starts fine, but constantly crashes.
