Reverse Camera Install on Vauxhall Corsa D 2007 1.7 CDTI

Attempted install of supplied reversing camera with Pumpkin 5.1 head unit (HU) and managed to linki video cable to HU and installed camera above number plate and wiring live red wire to reversing light and black wire to ground -ve and on turning on ignition and selecting reverse gear the camera lights came on but no image was sent to the HU. Although I have the Canbus adapter fitted I decided to wire the reversing sensing wire to the HU reverse sensing wire and low and behold the camera image appeared on the HU display. However, the image literally stayed on without change essentially locking out/crashing the HU. Switching off the ignition or turning off the HU did not extinguish the image and I eventually had to disconnect the power plug on the back of the unit and then disconnect the reverse sensing connections at the HU. Any ideas of what may have gone wrong or better still how to correct the issue and get it working would be gratefully received !

Hi,
Sorry for the trouble caused.
For the reverse camera issue, you need first enter the Settings--factory settings(126)--others to make sure the "reverse switching" not selected.
Then you can refer the below picture to modify the wire and check if the HU display will get the image from the reverse camera. Hope some help.
