No Sound on 6.95 inch Octacore Android 7.1

Hi,
I have a problem with my new 6.95 inch Octacore Android 7.1.2
When turning it on, there is no sound no matter which kind of input is used.
Also the radio app gets stuck when changing the band to FM2 or AM.

Does anyone have an idea how this problem can be solved?

Hi,
please first tell me your order number in amazon or buyer id in ebay,Pumpkin or AliExpress so that we can confirm more information about your unit and provide you positive solutions .
For the sound issue,you can first pull out the unit and check whether the speaker cable connect tightly or get 6V power.
For the radio issue, you can try to using a thin stick to click the RST hole to reset the unit .

Hi,
resetting the device did not solve the problem of the radio app. The radio app still gets stuck. Changing the channel is not working, also changing the band.

Then I tried to reset the device to factory defaults. Same errors, plus some new problems with the time widget on the home screen and missing apps. The time widget does not show the hours anymore.
Any ideas?

today the screen of the device started to flicker, after I tried to change the brightness of the screen, the display was suddenly completely dark. Even a reboot leaves the screen dark. So now I have neither video and also no sound. Can you help me please .....

You can try to flash the following firmware.

Please download and unzip the files to the root content of one sd card and insert it into the GPS slot.Then enter settings - car settings- system update.After update,if you find the time widget display wrongly ,you can enter settings - date&time,and click the option 24 hour format.

Hello,

thanks for the firmware. I was able to update the device.
But the problem with the sound is still the same. I tried another radio device and everything worked.

When using the pumpkin device again, there is no sound comeing from the speakers, regardless witch source I tried to use. Neither radio, DVD, DVB+ or Bluetooth, nothing worked. I tried to measure the power going to the speaker but there is no power output directly measuerable at the device.
Maybe it is something like a cold soldering joint?
