CN10-03304B display issues

Postby Saltyeddy » Fri Jan 12, 2018 6:59 pm

Hello,

I just build in the radio CN10-03304B-01A.

The display is really hard to read. Like if the contrast is way to high.i installed an app to change that. It did not help. Same goes for brightness. With white or other bright background it's really hard to read text. Plus, with some colors, in the Spotify login screen, the display starts flickering really bad. Radio software ALWAYS shows fm 98,5 when starting. Even when it's allready running in the background on another frequency.
It won't fastboot at all. Everytime I start the egnition it boots newly and takes like 30 seconds. I had the quad core version of the same radio, it was better in any way except the CPU speed.

1. The display error : is it broken or can an app or update help?
2. Radio app broken too? Or system error?

Is there a new update available?
I have android 7.2.1 on my radio.

Hi,
sorry the late reply.
1.about the contrast issue,do you mean the brightness is too light? You can adjust the brightness by entering settings - display page.If you mean the contrast ,we hope you can try to show me a picture about it.Normally,we check this respect before sending the unit out.
2.about the radio always displays 87.5 frequency issue, sorry about this problem,we are trying to solve it.Once we get the solution in a few days,we will notice you and public on this forum.
3.this kind of unit doesn't support fast boot function as your unit before. It just support at maximum one hour standby mode.During this time, you can fast boot the unit. Hope your kind understanding.
Regards

Hi, point 2 and 3 are really sad :/

@ Point 1:
I attached two pictures. As u can see some colors are really like faded out, almost "milky" or "foggy".
And no matter what i did, it did not change.
And one color, when loggin in to spotify, started flickering really bad.
As u can see, red and deep blue are shown correctly. Youtube and Dropbox Icon.
But when some other colors are mixed in, the display wont show it correctly. Text on white background is really hard to read.
On the Quad-Core Versions Display everything is perfect!

I allready sent the unit back and now use the Quad-core version.
It is a bit slower but everything i need works good.
The fastboot option is great and i dont wanne miss that!

Ok, so do you think another controller could work? Should I try another one?

Hi Saltyeddy,
for the problem that the radio doesn't change the frequency ,we just get the latest firmware to solve this issue.
You can download and unzip it to the root content of one sd card and insert it into the GPS slot. Then enter settings - car settings - system update.

Hope your feedback.

I had the exact same problem with CN10-03304B-01A. (seems to be specific to this model as the video for it on youtube doesnt seem to have a great contrast either.

The screen was not legible and the colours displayed on most apps especially google maps didnt match those on any other android device I tried, even on $30 tablet.

I did install an update and that helped with other issues but not the display.

I returned the unit and was sent another one but this unit is the same with the screen.
Exactly as you described milky / foggy.

The support guys have been excellent though in getting to the bottom of this and have sent out a different type of screen which they advise has a better contrast than the one in the unit currently.

I will let you know how it goes when it gets here.
