New RK3188 chip for RQ-0264E

Hi There,

I seem to have bricked the chip in my RQ-0264E unit by incorrectly installing a firmware update.
(Screen doesnt turn on, cannot get into recovery)

I wish to purchase a new processor chip to restore my radio to working condition. Please advise who to contact and how much this would cost please.
I've emailed support several days ago and heard nothing back.

Before you buy a new processor chip from us, you may install our latest firmware for RQ0264 to check.

Hi Jammy

The screen wont even come on at all, So i cant boot the system and I cant get into the recovery either. I put the RK3188 from my old unit (4.4) in it and it works so I know the chip is broken.

Is there a way to enter the bootloader and force a flash?

I am happy to pay for a new chip as I believe this is the problem.
I understand that I have voided my warranty, I just want to get this working again.

Hi, sorry for the late reply.
About the way to enter the bootloader and force a flash, you need first make the unit get power, then press the power button and RST hole at the same time, keep this about 3-5 second, then release the RST hole and power button, the unit will enter the recovery mode, you can insert the SD card with firmware file, and choose the third option to finish the firmware installation.

If you still could not enter the recovery mode, it's possible that the android board(processor chip) broken.

hi Jammy,

I have managed to get this system running again using the SD_Firmware_Tool (Which works for booting the unit) and was able to reinstall the firmware from a USB stick.

I just have one problem left in that I cannot change the Android boot logo anymore, I just get two "dancing" android figures.

I have been into settings, Factory settings, passcode 126 and set my boot logo in there and rebooted, But I still have the two dancing androids.

Is there an image i need to re-flash such as the MCU or bootloader ?

Hi, please choose the Logo type to "Logo Animation one", then select the logo you prefer, click the Apply and Exit, then the unit will reboot it itself, you just need to approve the remind information. After that, please check the logo you set works when you restart the unit.

Hi,
You can first enter the Car logo in the factory settings, choose the Logo type "logo animation one", then choose the boot logo you like, click Apply and Exit, the unit will reboot itself to save the setting. Please follow these steps and check it.
