Hmmm, I would say it's fairly serious if you have tested the same model there and it's working differently to the one i have here! Surely all of the units should be identical and work in exactly the same way?
I'll send a message via amazon and request an exchange or refund since the support email account for www.autopumpkin.co.uk does not seem to respond to any emails i send.
Thanks for testing this out though Jammy.
RQ0278E - Reboot
Re: RQ0278E - Reboot
Hi I have the same issue with my unit as well.
Some of the time it pops back up straight away but then will randomly do the 20 second turn on as described here. Happened twice today when getting in the car. Annoying for the reverse camera!
Was there a solution to the issue or was it the device?

Re: RQ0278E - Reboot
Apart from sending me the same update a couple of times, there has been no fix to this. I'm thinking it's the unit to blame, but i notice there is a new update due to be released in the next few days for the MCU and ROM......might be worth waiting to try these out and then taking it further (possible faulty return/swap).
Re: RQ0278E - Reboot
Hi all,
The new update firmware and mcu are available.
Here are the links for the RQ0278.
https://mega.nz/#!RdkTADJa!_7dmoYNMMC-B ... HR-kI_2ZxU
https://mega.nz/#!Fc1DHDgJ!SzSj01-uwRum ... QFL3Qq5o6g
Please download both the firmware and mcu through your browser, just copy the file into an empty (micro)SD card, make sure the file is in root of the card.(ie, when you open the card, the file is directly located there)
Then please insert the sd card with the firmware file and mcu into the GPS slot.
The unit will recognize the update firmware automatically and pop out a dialog, choose "wipe data and format flash", then click Install, the unit will finish the update after a few minutes. Here is a picture for your reference.
After the firmware updating, then go to the settings--about tablet to click MCU update.
If you still have problem, please attach your current system version and the video would be appreciated.
We will still try to provide you best solution.
Regards

Re: RQ0278E - Reboot
Jammy,
any chance you could give us some info on the updates? Which version of the MCU is this? Is it 2.04_1 like in the screenshot you posted (the same version that's already been posted on other forums) or is this a newer, updated version?
Could you do a quick screenshot of the UI of the new update.zip also? Is it the newer version with the nicer left hand widget or just a minor update to the original version?
Thanks

Never mind
I just installed and it's 2.30.....Quite a big jump. Fingers crossed it makes a difference.
Thanks.
