11-RQ0367E-DE-A for VW Golf V is extremly slow

Hi there,

a few weeks ago I bought the 11-RQ0367E-DE-A unit () on ebay and I'm very disapointed, because of some issues:

1. It is slow. Very slow. I'm talking about booting times up to 5 minutes as a warm boot, not cold boot. When the radio is off for more than 1 night it needs much longer.

2. Since 2 weeks it's starting with a black screen after booting, so the VW logo comes up, screen goes black, musik starts playing but screen remains black. I have to do a hart reset at least 2 times to make it to the boot screen again and than it's working.

3. When I finally made it to the home screen it takes an endless time to start apps or even (sub)menues. Starting Google Play Store takes 10 minutes (not joking!) or it crashes. Same with Navigon: either I have to wait an about 5 minutes to start or it crashes. Even scrolling though the android menues is laggy.

First I told myself "Ok, it's not a tablet or a smartphone" but it's getting ridiculous. I have an old Sony Xperia Arc S smartphone which is 3 times faster than my pumpkin unit. It it like a very old PC which was never set up new. Also I never found the same issue in forums and most people told me their units "are super fast".
I tried another launcher but it didn't help.

I really hope I can fix this issues with a firmware update.

According to your video, the low running problem may be caused by the many installed apps.

I have some other questions:
1. Will there bei an upgrade to Android 6 for my device?
2. Do you have a newer firmware for me or is the one from April (your last the reply) the latest?
3. The Radio shows when a door is open and in the vehicle app are some information coming from the Can-Bus. What doesn't show up is the information screen for air condition. Is this an error? Do I need to change the Can-Bus settings in the factory settings (I use the 1st entry which is for VW, but there are lot's of more and except the air condition it's working)

Fyi: I uninstalled Google App, Google maps and stopped both and some other Apps I don't use, this made the device faster and more stable.

I installed the update, but i can't see any differences. I'm not sure what should be new, because there is no changelog.
Anyway, the air condition still doesn't show up.

It didn't show up on my original radio either, but I thought the Android Unit should get all the information from the CAN Bus.
Maybe I'm wrong...

Hi,
This means the car computer doesn't output the air condition info to the car stereo.
Hope you know.
