About 1 in 10 times I turn the car on, the head unit doesn't connect to the 3G network. It only shows an exclamation mark. It will not connect during any part of that journey.

It''s not an issue with the network.

Turning airplane mode on for 30 seconds then off again doesn't make it reconnect.

Any ideas?

we're having the exact same problem with the RQ0278E sometimes not connecting to the mobile network

Hi,
there is small hole labeled "RST".You can use a thin stick to press it.
