EasyConnected Server, Radio and Driving Apps like DriveMode

I am having an issue making this work. I would like to use the DriveMode (or similar, Auto Android, CarDroid, etc) to mirror from my Android phone to my Pumpkin radio. I can connect with EasyConnected Server using USB and everything opens up just fine. The problem I am having is that as soon as the EasyConnected Server attaches the radio mutes. I would like to be able to listen to the radio still while running the DriveMode App. Does anyone make it work like this? Thanks.
