Hello all,
i'm planing to buy the LM-W0352 WinCE unit for my Skoda Octavia car.
But before, i want to know some for me important points and i hope, somebody can help me here.
The main thing, i will do with the unit is, listen to mp3 music from USB or microSD. And i just want to know two things:

1. How does the screen look like, when i listen to mp3 files from USB/microSD? What information can i see on the display? Artist, Album, Songname? Can it show Albumcovers and if yes, do they need to be tagged into the mp3 files or do they need to be inside the Album folder?

2. How do i search for the music in my USB/microSD? Is there some kind of folder navigation (where i can "jump" into an folder and back out) or is it a list with one mp3 file after another (like they are saved on USB/microSD) or something other method i don't know from?

It would also be really great, if someone can provide pictures (or a video clip?) from real use, i think i those i can see the best way, what i want to know.

Hi，
the music app displays the Artist,Album and song name but not the albumcovers.
Obviously,it requires that the mp3 files contain these informations because the wince unit cannot connect to the internet.
The unit support to recognize all the music files on your SD/USB.

No Album covers is a bit bad, but ok.
For the music files recognised on the sd/usb: are they shown as a long list, or can you go into an subfolder?

My music files in the car player i'm using right now are organized like this:
-USB-Stick
--Artist
---Album Name
----mp3 files

If i have a long list, i have to scroll a long time to the songs of the last folder.
If i can scroll through folders it is much easier to find the music i want.

I hope you understand what i mean.
I see on the second picture on the left side 1. and 2.
Are this folders on your sdcard? And the files on the right side are the music files in folder 2.?

IF your budget can stretch buy the 2GB android version.

You search your music with the pre installed music app by artist but you have to name your albums like this.

Also if you have it in your folder the album artwork is the background and the CD artwork spins around....pretty cool

You can search/play the song from the sub folder. The unit will automatically recognize all the music files .All the music files will be displayed on their own sub folder referring to my picture attached above.

Well, specs wise your uni -> is looking great. Intel Sofia, 2 GB Ram, build in 3G modem...
(...what leads me to the question: does your unit has an IMEI number?)

But there are a few things i don't like on it (my personal opinion, don't take it as attack):
- i don't like the knobs (don't know, if it is the correct word in english) above. The way the units fits in my car, the display would be covered by my hand, everytime i use one of these knobs and i don't see whats going on in the display.
- the place, where the sdcards are, is not nice. If the buttons above are lighted and these card slots not, is not ideal in my eyes. Best place in my opinion, is under the display, in the middle.
- build in 3G modem would be really great, but i'm absolutely sure, that a wifi antenna and a 3G antenna does not fit into my car. There is not much space left behind.

This unit is exactly how i want to look like the radio! Button placement, card slots, perfect.
But i guess, the performance won't be as good because of the cpu and 1 GB ram.
The question is: is the performance of the unit from the second link enough for listening music and using navigation at the some time...?
The Wifi antenna will be delivered with a 1,5m cable, also better for my car without space behind the radio.
The 3G will be connected with USB cable and 3G dongle. In this case, this unit will not have an IMEI, right?

I don't think, that i want a WinCe unit anymore. The two i was talking about in my last post are Android.
This folder navigation is to much from "stoneage" and my 1 Din radio i actually have in my car does it better.

The problem with imei is, that some navigation apps (TomTom, Navigon) need a device with imei to build a license. Without, they can not be used in Android.
Of course there are free solutions, but if you own a Navigon license with all In app things, it would be nice to use them also on a build in car unit.
