Hi, could you please tell us what problem you had? Normally we don't suggest our clients flash the item with the firmware, cause it may lead some other problem.
And please tell us the current system version on the unit, we also need to check if we have the new firmware.

It's wifi connection issues it's not staying connected for long. I have android 4.4.4_29032016 installed at the moment. The signal is pretty bad with tethering as well. I get a feeling it could be antenna related because there is a metal frame around the double din cage. Just want to make sure it's the latest firmware before getting a wireless usb dongle

Hi, the installed firmware on your unit is already the latest one, and the new firmware also does little help on the wifi signal improvement.
As we known, the wifi signal and connection condition may be affected by other factors, sorry about this.
You can try to buy a wireless usb dongle to check.
