Hi,
If you could not find the steering wheel keys from the settings, you can try to find the "Key study" icon on the third page of the unit.

To help Jammy a little bit, He represents his company and has to abide by some rules.
If he steers you wrong with incorrect software, he will be the fall guy..

Now MCU updates from KLD6-V2.85 to V2.9x will require setup under factory "126"
If you DID not RECORD your original FACTORY settings like radio type, radio country, can bus type LED type, and Options 1 and 2, you are in for a lot of trial and error.
Always that a video or pix of your settings before you do things.

Jammy has helped me a lot and I have learn what can be done, how to do it and how to recover. The Jump from 2.85 to 2.97 is big..
5.1.1 will work on MCU KLD6 V2.9X.. It might on V2.85, but you need to Wipe Data and Cache.. I think the second choice from the bottom.

If your radio did not work well, and now it is better.. Thank him for the files at least.
And most important, if it fails, make sure you have an original ROM to go back too. 5.1.1 to 4.4.4 ... The MCU will not matter, but it might reset
Factory settings..

Hi,
Could you please check if the button light will be on when you turn on the unit or switch on your car light?
And please notice, if the unit you bought does not have the 7 color of button indicator, your unit only have one button light color.
Regards

I'll be blunt here, don't waste your time asking these guys about your stereo firmware updates. They play it too safe and never learn anything new. Go to XDA.com and look up your model or chiptype or under "MTCB Software Development " (mine is RK3188 R07) which was a Pumpkin 11-RQ0255-US-A and it came with 4.4.4 and it was a NIGHTMARE...Once Google was upgraded it crashed every time i used it and all i got out of these sorry souls was "Oh, we're sorry and we have a 5.x firmware but we don't recommend using it".

So i went out on my own and began researching and Googling "Android Head Units" (what they call these stereos) and found out you CAN go to Android 5.1.x and it IS stable and faster and all out better looking than the 4.4.x versions.

There's a guy name Malaysk who was stretched the boundaries of the firmware to their absolute LIMITS and made it seems like a completely NEW stereo.

Folks XDA is where you need to go to find your answers...you won't find anyone thinking outside the box here...
