Hello,
I have issues with the following product. S07
MCU-Version:
MTCC-KLD6-V2.91
May 31 2016 19:54:14
Android-Version:
5.1.1
1024*600
Kernel-Version:
3.0.101+
root@chun #42
Tue May 17 21:50:34 CST 2016
Build-Nummer:
rk3188-userdebug 22062016.16:41:09
I have issues with the current ROM with very slow UI, no SWC, audio randomly stops until the HU is rebooted.
tried resetting 3 times and clearing all data/cache, still same slow performance etc.
Is there a new firmware for this device?
NOTE: I have another very similar model in another similar model car, its running MTCB-KLD6-V2.86 Android 4.4.4 Kernal 3.0.36+.
and it has been very good and is much faster and reliable, SWC are working fine too.
Thank you

Re: Firmware update for rk3188
Hi Jammy
Thanks for the reply but like most other users trying to download the image.img file from mega.nz it either fails to download or is a corrupted file once downloaded.
I tried different browsers and different programs to unzip the .img file and nothing worked.
I also tried 3 other mega.nz hosted .img files from other posts o nthis forum, only to find the same error.
I don't believe the file your uploading is corrupt (as your likely using it where you are for testing etc) but during your upload process it is getting corrupted on the mega.nz server. Or alternatively when we download it, it gets corrupted during transit.
Is there a different mirror site you can use?
Or can the .img file be uploaded in a different format? (Zip)
Alternatively would you suggest any XDA forum custom firmware for this unit?
Thanks

Re: Firmware update for rk3188
Hi again
i downloaded an XDA version and found it have the same error, looks like my issue was using windows to read the img file and it was getting corrupted.
i attempted to restore the img file to the SD while using a linux live distro and all looks like its now there (looks like a normal linux root drive), so i assume its the same error as i got with the mega.nz firmware url you provided before.
i will give these a go tomorrow (time permitted) and report back my findings.
Thanks

Hi dansburner ,
after reading your post,i try the link again and nothing wrong with it.
In fact ,you needn't to unzip the img files .Just place it on the root content of the card .

Re: Firmware update for rk3188
HI Jammy
I used the mega.nz 5.1.1 update you provided and the update solved some issues.
The Firmware UI is faster now and more reliable.
Although the screen is still very very dull and the SWC are completely dead.
For the SWC i assume it would be my wiring so ill write this one off for now but is there anyay to brighten up the display other than the normal settings?
current under setting the display brightness is set to "20" (100%)
Thanks

Hi,
For the brightness issue, you can show some picture to the customer service where you bought the unit.If the customer service adjudge it as the problem of the display screen, they will arrange to send you an new screen.
For the SWC,if your car with canbus,so you need not to connect the regarding wires. If not,you need.
So i suggest you consult the customer service.
