Hello,
You guys have a locked thread that says I can now e-mail request a link to the new 5.1 Image for my 11-RQ0255-US-A and I did indeed request it via E mail. I was told that, "I'm so sorry that the Android 4.4 unit cannot be updated to 5.1 Android unit, since it would caused a lot of system issues and make the unit confused and disorder." GIVE ME A BREAK!!!! What nonsense as my unit 11-RQ0255-US-A is identical to the 11-RQ0264-US-A with the exception of the Android Version. I'm very ticked off about the message since Android Radios don't get CONFUSED, only people who can't be bothered helping customers get CONFUSED.

Hi, this unit android 4.4 unit RQ0255 cannot be updated to android 5.1, that's the fact from the factory and the result we tested in our lab.
If it can be, we will send the android 5.1 firmware to you.
There may be some difficult need to be settled for the factory software technician and they need some time to make it available.
We will post it on our forum when it's available in the future.Hope you can understand.

I am looking forward to this update as well, I understand that you have many units and it can take some time to find solutions to upgrade them all.

Can you tell us more about the difficulty in upgrading this unit? Also when we may see a potential upgrade?

The unit does look identical to the new 5.1 unit, but I can understand if some internal parts are different.

Hi, thanks for your understanding.
The factory said that they had difficult about the MCU upgrade at the same time ROM upgrading.
And the MCU upgrade may cause some other problem which seems to be hardly solved.
