Need Firmware for Pumpkin 7 Android 5.1 Ford.

Postby Chakka89 » Mon Jul 04, 2016 11:52 am

I have already emailed the support that the device crashes sometimes and they told me that I should process a firmware update. So they sent me a link to download the file but the link is not valid and they don't response. Do any of you know how do I can get the link for the recent software for the PUMPKIN 7 Android 5.1 for Mondeo, S-max, Focus, Galaxy, etc.

(https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01CQF ... UTF8&psc=1)?

I'm using a 3G surfstick and it's connected to the internet, but later it will give a message that the USB 2 port is "unmounted". Do you know what is meant with this error message?

Thanks a lot!

Hi, regarding your issue, could you please check if the unit can play music through USB cable?
If is, please press the RST hole to reset the unit, then unplug the 3G surfstick and reconnect it to check.

Dear Jammy,

thanks for your reply.

Meanwhile I bought 4 USB 3G sticks. None of them works completely without issues.
Using 3 of them the car device works properly but I´m not able to connect the mobile net although the display tells I´m connected. So here the issue is the establishment of a data connection into the mobile net e.g. to use a navigation, etc.

Using the fourth stick (congstar stick for t-mobile net) the mobile net can be connected and I´m able to surf, to use the navigation, etc. but the device then dumps after a minute and needs to be reset by usage of the RST hole afterwards to resolve the issue.

Anyway all four sticks work properly using the desktop PC, but sadly none of them with the car device.

One of the 3 sticks is the original Pumpkin stick bought in the Pumpkin online store.

By the way, the car device itself works properly without the usage of an USB 3G stick, there are no problems and so I believe that the issue is simply caused by the usage of the car device in coherence with a stick.

My opinion is that the constar stick works, because it`s a t-mobile stick with a t-mobile SIM card. Here the access to the t-mobile net is already available on that stick. The other 3 sticks are no t-mobile sticks and I think they don´t know which net to use. I´d like them to use the t-mobile net but I don´t know how to teach them.

So the question would be how can I tell the 3 sticks which mobile net to use ?

Hi, thanks for your so detailed description.
I don't know which sim card to be used on the 3 stick except the stick from our Pumpkin online store.
The Pumpkin stick can work with the 3G WCDMA net work, could you please consult your local mobile net supplier?
About the fourth stick (congstar stick for t-mobile net) issue, maybe our unit is not completely compatible with the t-mobile net, so somtime the internet connection is not stable and smooth.
Regards
