Hi I bought a C0542 ford Mondeo stereo in January which had a KGL mcu, someone supposed auto electrician said there was a newer mcu for the kgl and updated it. on the whole it all works but the physical button layout is mixed up so the back button is mute etc
Do you have the original mcu update so I can restore the stereo back to factory state please?
the stereo model is - item number - 11-C0542-UK-A
thanks in advance

Noticed you need original order number etc
Bought from Autopumkin.co.uk
order number - 100000461
If you have the original MCU and firmware it would be great thanks

If you do not have the original mcu and firmware, could you inform me, either here or by Private message who manufacturers this stereo so I could maybe contact them.
As I say the stereo works but the physical side buttons are mixed up after a Kgl mcu upgrade.
Thanks for your time.
If it's not possible to assist me in this matter please let me know.
Cheers in advance
Barry

Hi, Sorry for the delay reply.
We have the original firmware file, and we asked the factory provided the original MCU file.
You can refer the below link to flash the unit to check.

Thanks,
That MCU worked a treat and all my buttons are all as they should be.
Having the Original MCU and Firmware gives me great piece of mind as I have a back up incase anything goes wrong in the future.
To be honest, It would have you loads of time if you have a Support Page which has links to all your models - with the links to the latest Firmware files and MCU.
Obviously having a disclaimer that using the files will be at your own risk.

Hi,
Thanks for your suggestion.
We ever considered this similar Support page, but cause the units have many different models and some of them are replacing by the new release unit, in order to avoiding the risk of damaging the unit at buyer side, we are not allowed to put the firmware files and MCU on the public website.
Hope your kind understanding.
