Bluetooth no audio when dialing?

I have a pumpkin 4.4 unit and using the Bluetooth app I can successfully stream music from my Sony z2 to the stereo but when I try and dial a number I cannot hear anything. I did not connected the external microphone does that matter?

About the bluetooth issue, you can make a call via bluetooth, and it does not matter with the external microphone, cause normally our units have the built in microphone. Could you please check if you switch the answer from phone to the unit? The sound from the other people you call will come out from your front car speaker.

I am not sure I understand the question? I can make calls and the other person can hear me, but I cannot hear anything and I cannot hear the dialing sound either. I've tried this with two different phones. Could it be that the front speakers are not connected properly if you say the sound should come through the front speakers? How do I test if the front speakers are working? I am using a jeep commander with boston audio amplifier

Hi, can you please first check if you switch the call from your phone to the unit? could you please check if you can play the bluetooth music on the unit KD-C0224? And does the music come from the front speaker? Does all other functions,such as radio and DVD sound play well? You can try to enter the EQ on the unit to test if the front and rear speaker work.
You can also test it front speaker with connecting a couple of speaker wires from our power cable to a speaker.

I think it is a problem with the front speakers when I use the eq and push it forward so only front speakers then I get no sound when playing music. I think I might need to bypass the amplifier?

Hi, could you please tell us if there is no sound coming out from the car front speaker whatever you listen radio or play DVD? It's possible that the front speaker wires from our power cable is not connected to the boston audio amplifier front speaker wire, you can check it.
And you can also test if the unit sound work normally when you connect our speaker wires directly to your car speakers.
