Hi please can you explain how to do handsfree voice dialling with this unit.
also when i touch the bluetootth music button the audio come throught the phone and not the head unit.

Hi,
you can directly rotate the volume knob to adjust the handsfree voice.
For the BT music issue, you can flash teh following firmware.

Please download adn unzip the files to the root content of one sd card and insert it into the GPS slot.Then enter settings - car settings - system update.

this is not what i asked . i would like to be able to voice dail (handsfree) no touch the unit but say the name of my downloead contacts and dial them. is this possible ? if not then this is not totally hands free

it seem this firmware is missing some simple bluetooth profiles which is the reason why this unit cannot do the basic functions of handsfree voice calling and sms messages read aloud over car bluetooth.
Can this be looked at as a matter of urgency by your engineers? othe wise the whole purpose of this head unit and all your other head units is useless.
the unit needs to have a basic hands free profile as well as contact sharing, and music streaming . it shoud be able to intgrate with basic apps from the android and apple phone.
Advanced Audio Distribution Protocol A2DP Audio streaming
Audio/Video Remote Control Protocol AVRCP Control over music playback directly from the stereo
Hands-free Profile HFP Hands-free calling through the stereo
Object Push Profile OPP Uploading of contact info to the stereo
Phone Book Access Profile PBAP Access to contact list from the stereo
Message Access Profile (MAP)

all of these are basic everyday profiles which have been used for years now and should not be a problem for you

the only way i can get the messgaes read out to me over the car speakers is to turn off media audio profile on bluetooth settings then my phone is forced to use the phone audio profile but this then does not let me stream music wirelessly and all notifications keep stopping my radio. this is unacceptable. please fix this urgently
