Dash cam trouble

Im using the KD-Y0020 dash camera. After I installed the latest firmware for my stereo the saved video files look strange.
The normal view from the camera is good.

This is a screen shot. Its just pointed at my garage door.
But it looks like this all the time now. Night or day.
It used to look just like the normal video output.

Has my camera gone bad or is there something I can do to fix this?

Hi,
sorry for my late reply due to the Chinese New year holiday.
Did you store the video in the unit or on the sd card?
You can try to reset the unit and see whether the new saved file normal or not.

I have tried both SD cards with the same result.
What do you mean by “reset”?
Reset to factory? I’m not exactly sure how to do that.
I can try the reset button if that’s what you mean.

So I just tried a factory reset and it’s the same.
This was one of the main reasons to go with Pumpkinn.

Also, it worked great before I installed the update to fix the radio app issues.
Did they change something with the “recorder” app?

yes,these really an firmware bug.Please wait for a few days ,our engineer is try to solve this bug.Once we get solution ,i will reply you here again.Hope your kind understanding.

we get the new firmware which update the DVR app. You can flash this one.

Please download and unzip the files to the root content of one sd card and insert it into the GPS slot.Then enter settings - car settings - system update.
