Pumpkin 11-RQ0276E touchscreen partially working

Hello Jammy,

I have a Pumpkin 11-RQ0276E and I've been terribly disappointed with it. It is so slowwwwwwww.. Each time maps and Spotify open the unit wants to terminate the processes and sometime it takes 15 minutes to get things going.

My issue over the past 3 months is that the left buttons don't work anymore except for the 'reset' button. The touch screen works only in some parts of the screen -- It works about 1cm from the top of the screen for about 1cm, then the rest doesn't work. In the follow ASCII Pic the areas with the '/' symbol don't work.

The driver wheel button works so I can change the radio station but only to change the radio.

I have reset it to factory default by pressing the 'Rest' button on the left of the screen for about 20 seconds, then it gave me the following screenshots.

I was able to select 'wipe all data/factory and cache reset' by short-pressing the 'Reset' button to navigate down the selection and by long-pressing to select it. It wipe everything and rebooted and I still the same issue.

Hi,
it is normal that the android system run slower than before after using for a long time.Here is the firmware you can have a try to solve this problem.

Please download the files to the root content of one sd card and insert it into the GPS slot.Then enter recovery mode and choose update the firmware from sd card or USB(if you place the files on the USB ) .

After the update,if the touch screen still doesn't works,please contact the customer service for the next solution.

Hi Jammy,
For the record, the unit didn't become slow. It was slow from the beginning. It didn't become slow over time.

I've tried to access your page using safari, chrome, internet explorer, edge, and Firefox on Mac and Windows and none can access the file. I get a black screen with a grey circle, when I click on the circle I get two of the following error messages. Why can't I download the firmware from autopumpki.com instead of a NZ site?

Please send me a direct link and not some in between links on which I have to load some java applets or some shit like that. FFS!!!

I've inspected the message in more details and the reason why it doesn't load the .json files is this:

Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID

Never mind, I opendns was blocking this site. I am able to download the file now.

OK, I have updated the firmware using option 2, and saw the whole unpacking and installation of default applications and the same results.

After I posted the first time, I noticed that the top right and bottom right corner are working (about 1mm from the corners). It was working before I put this update.

Any updates on this topic? Looks like everybody has problems with a dead touchscreen. I'm stuck with 2 Pumpkin radio's with a useless screen
