Octocore Oreo 8.0 backup camera not working.

Good afternoon,

I recently upgraded my stereo to a new Octo-core 8.0 head unit. My old unit is a dual-core by Pumpkin with backup camera. After installation of new stereo, by backup camera is no longer working. I have double and triple checked the wiring and that seems fine, I can see video image using AV-IN, but reverse does not bring up a video image.

I have gone into Factory Settings > Other > Prohibit Reverse > Disable, however, that seems to have no effect on reverse camera that I can tell.

I have checked power to reverse camera and that is okay. I have also checked video cable to reverse camera, and to the back of stereo ( I have two reverse camera wires for back of stereo, both seem fine). I have also tried a full factory reset and that didn't change anything.

Is there another setting in the stereo I'm overlooking?

Hi,
you can do refer to the following picture. Only when the reverse-in wire get power or reverse signal ,the unit switch to reverse video mode.
More query ,please first tell me your order number in amazon or buyer id in ebay,Pumpkin or AliExpress so that we can confirm more information about your unit and provide you positive solutions . And also your car model please.
