how do you set night driving brightness below 23 still too bright

the night driving brightness wont go lower then 23 how do i get it do go lower i wanna be able to get it down to 1 or hell 0 and or make the volume dial be able to adjust the brightness

but at current 23 its still too bright driving in the country where its totally dark... i need to make this radio dimmer.. so far my solution i throw a towel over it as using the X to turn screen off is useless as soon as u turn radio down or up it reactivates the screen so thats a useless tit right there volume shouldnt make the screen come back on.. or at least have a setting in the settings if you turn volume activate screen again yes or no check box

5.1 has no option for this....very very stupid. I did ask but jammy just couldn’t understand how serious the problem is at night. One of a few reasons my the unit was returned.

7.12 has but it still is a little to bright.

this one uses the 6 marshmellow software.. i wanted to get 7.1 but was told they dont have the 7.1 in 8 core they still working on it they only had the 4 core for 7.1

is there a way to root this and then get software to modify it...

ya i live in canada ontario so its dark at night in country life not living in Toronto in the city where it wouldnt matter city is lite up

not sure where your from leeh22 but i also uploading a video of the pros and cons and the one con i show is where i throw a towel on the radio but i took it this morning the video so of course not too bright... but you can check it out later too takes a while to up 15 min video to youtube

i dont know why whoever programmed the software to lock it at 23.. but it has to go it blinds you driving


id return the radio but since pumpkin wouldnt ship to canada from amazon.. i had to ship it to a friend then he shipped it to canada so took a while passed the date of return..

and it was a bitch to install in a 2004 cavalier even though its a double din too lol

You should give Tasker a try...

Just create a task and set there the brightness to 1 and execute the task.
If that works, I could provide a solution for automatic setting of the brightness regarding to dusk and dawn....

Unfortunately this setting is not available on my new Oreo unit, but may be it works on yours.
