Change widgets on the home screen

How do you change the widgets on the home screen? They are locked. Model is 11-RQ0110E single din lollipop 5.1. I want to use different widgets from the play store and I want to put app icons on the home screen as well. I know how to change the app bar at the bottom. I am referring to the home screen itself. Thanks!

This unit RQ0110 does not support to change the widgets on the home screen.

Jammy, I have the Android 6.0.1 unit and this launcher still does not allow widgets. Is there something I can do?

Sorry for the late reply.
As we know, normally the launcher of our android unit don't allow to add widgets, the widgets on the main screen are the factory default design which is related to the original firmware.
You can try to download some other launcher app, just like the below app, then you can add the widgets that you prefer.
