Help and info 27-AQTU72-01

Postby Jerry_R » Fri Oct 07, 2016 8:26 pm

Hello,

I just bought the 27-AQTY72-01 head unit from autopumpkin.de
I have tried to install Osmand navigation app but it won't install.

Also I tried to reset the unit to factory defaults but it keeps asking me for a password. I tried every password I could find on this forum but none of them work. Can you please provide me with the reset code?

Best regards,
Jerry

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply.
About the Osmand navigation app, it maybe not compatible with our unit.
If you want to reset the unit, reset code is 1617, please don't change the factory settings, cause it may damage the unit.
You can try to use other navigation app, such as Sygic, here maps, waze and Google map.

Thanks for the reset code, can you tell me what the other codes are for use in the factory menu? Does this unit have changeable launchers/desktops like the other units with pervious android versions have?

Also, ES File Explorer keeps popping up out of nowhere from time to time, blocking the use of the screen. (closing the app requires two hits on the back button which is a pain to do when driving in dense traffic) Can this be blocked?

Finally, I have had three occasions in one week where the volume buttons, back button, home button and power button stopped responding. The drop down menu still works but volume doesn't respond. After a few attempts the unit completely crashes and reboots...

This unit seriously needs a more stable firmware, I already did a complete factory reset two times, even tried using it without any apps just as a radio and it still isn't stable...

Is a newer firmware available or coming soon? If not I'm sending this unit back for a refund.

Hi,
This unit does not have any other codes for use.
You can return the home button with one hits or close the page of the opp not using.
About the crash and reboot issue, it may the system error, you can press the RST hole to reset the unit to solve it.
If we have a new firmware, we can send it to you, but now we don't have, sorry about this.
Regards

Home button or close page won't work, ES File Explorer keeps telling me to press the back button twice. if not done within 2 seconds I have to repeat all over, this isn't really safe practice when driving and keeping an eye on traffic.

As I mentioned before I have reset the device and even did full factory reset, nothing helps.

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply due to the weekend.
Regarding your issue, could you please take a short video about the problem, upload it to youtube, then send the link to us?
It will be checked and discussed, and we will try to find other possible solution.
Regards
