Pumpkin issues

Postby lisiecki1 » Thu Mar 30, 2017 1:12 pm

I have a couple of problems with my pumpkin stereo.

First issue: When listening to audio through usb or sd card, every few minutes there is a pause, similar to a skipping cd. There are no problems with the same tracks, from the same usb, on a different listening device.

Second issue: When the keylights are on there is significant background noise that sounds like static. It does not matter if the unit is connected to the headlight switch or if it is disconnected from the headlights and the keylights are tuned on manually in factory settings. It only occurs when the keylights are lit.

I purchased the radio through amazon on February 9, 2017. Order# 115-9743512-5749869

Hi,
Sorry for the trouble caused.
For the first issue, it maybe the system software problem, please do a factory data restore to check.
If this does not help, here is the original firmware your unit, you can install it, just hope some help.

For the second issue, it's related to the anti-interference circuit which may don't perform well when you start the headlight, sorry about this.
This situation rarely happens to our clients, only a few of clients who had the VW cars had the same problem.
Regards

Thanks Jammy. I'll try the restore tonight. I just noticed that I had a response.

I don't know if it makes a difference regarding the key lights, but the radio is installed in a 2002 ford excursion.

Jammy,

My firmware update experienced some kind of failure that has made the unit completely unusable. The screen colors and size have been changed to a point that they are unusable.

Please see the youtube video and let me know how to proceed.

Hi,
It is strange. You can try to reset the unit and flash again.
If this does not help, you can try flash the other firmware here.

Jammy,

The other firmware is not successful either. Is there anything else I can try? Is this unit done for?

This is a video of the newest attempt to load firmware (the new file you sent).

The end of the video also shows how the display size is completely wrong, and it's stuck in a boot loop. Sometimes it doesn't stick during boot and will go to the main screen, but the size and color are completely wrong; to the point that I am not even able to access the settings menu because I can't see the far on the screen.

Please help!

Hi,
is your resolution ratio of the unit is 800*480?
Do you mean after you flashed the first firmware flies and failed, then the unit screen color and size changed?
Maybe you can choose the last option i point in the following picture or try to plug out the ISO connector and plug in again.

Yes, after the first flash the screen color and size changed.

I tried the last option and the system says there is no backup for it to load from and shows me all of the same information that ive been seeing.

Unplugging the iso connector and plugging back in is also having no effect.
