TomTom Problem on Android 8.0 Oreo SKU: ND0279B

Hello Jammy

I buy the new head unit SKU: ND0279B with Android 8
Ordernumber on autopumpkin.de: 500004017

First the head unit works realy good but i have one problem.
TomTom Go Mobile don´t work on this head unit, on the older one with Android 7.1 it works great.
On this one you can´t choose nothing in the options and the 3D view don´t work too.... see the Video.

Can you take a view on it, i don´t be sure its a problem with the head unit or a problem from TomTom with Android 8.

The same problem with an AE0273B unit.


Buildings and the blue line to follow are displayed. However no roads.

I tried several versions, maps and locations to store with the same result.

we got your issue.And cause this is an third party app issue,it need time to tested and once there is any solution or response ,i will notice you here.

This issue seems to be on TomTom side.
If you have a look into their community, there are a lot of different issues in the current release.
By the way: TomTom gives no support for tablets and car units. They even don´t guaranty that TomTom Go would work on these units.

Until an official update from TomTom, you only should use 2-D graphics.

I had problems with the TomTom speed camera app not working but try to enable all the permissions under the apps settings and see if this works for you. it worked for me.

i tested this TomTom app in our android 8.0 unit and didn't find the same unit as you showed in the video.

I Test that Version, but there came a error on Startup that the app cant connect to the TomTom Services... I remember that is a issure with the Unit seriel Number...
The same error as in the post
TomTom Support Serialnumbers with a length of Max 12 characters. My Head Unit has 16 characters....

Do u test it on the thame unit like my? Maybe i can reinstall the Firmware....

i knew your serial numbers has 16 characters.
The unit i tested has the same system and serial numbers with yours.
Here is the firmware which updated on 20180410(you can see this number on your build number option).

Ok, i see i have a new firmware than yours see the foto...
Can i install the firmware you post without problem ore not?

I Test to install the Firmware but if i press on the System Upgrade butten nothing happens....
