can anyone get TABLET TALK App to work?

I want to use the app Tablet Talk to have my SMS messages from samsung s7 on the screen in the car. It installs ok ,using bluetooth to connect, says it is connected to my phone, via bluetooth, but isnt, it works on spare tablet at home but not on the car. i have the APK file installed on GPS card as it is harder to get on to root file of Flash.
Does anyone have any idea why it would not find the phone correctly as the "device"? I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Does anyone have any better apps for this service I want? SMS to main screen from phone via bluetooth.
