is there a steering wheel control issue with the 8.0 unit

I'm thinking of buying the Android 8.0 SKU: ND0294B for my car.
I used to have a Pumpkin 7.1.2 which had steering wheel control issue and I had to follow this attached photo to fix it.

My question, if I have the same issue with the new 8.0 unit, do I follow this photo to fix it?
If not, can you attach a photo on how to fix the 8.0 unit?

A friend bought a 8.0 and was telling me he has similar issue and working with the seller.
It was not a Pumpkin unit.
