Firmware and Google Play Music storage

Postby born.sleepy » Fri Dec 30, 2016 2:21 am

Hi, my system has become quite laggy and I was wondering if there is an update available.

# 272300581918

MCU version:
MTCC-KLD6-V2.97
Aug 02 2016 10:35:08
Android version:
5.1.1
1024*600
Kernel version:
3.0.101+
chun@hctr930 #10
Wed Jul 20 15:59:15 CST 2016
Build number:
rk3188-userdebug 05082016.16:30:02

Also is there any way to make it so I can download music from Google Play and store it on the SD card? On any other android device this is possible.. but on this head unit the option isn't there.. or even save the downloaded music to the NAND flash? Or actually save anything to the NAND flash?

Thanks James.

Hi,
Could you please first tell us your order number?
For the music from Google play and store, this unit can only support the download music saved to the Nand flash, not the external SD card or USB.
Different android devices have some difference, which is mainly related to the configuration hardware, some are determined by the android system version, hope your kind understanding.

HI,

How do I find the order number? It's been over 90 days since the purchase of Ebay seller pumpkin18au. Ebay says it doesn't keep data after 90 days. I bought it in the 16 Sept 2016 item number 272300581918. Email reference ID: [#a11-t6rlynwgfr#]_[#c8a8856a9b73419bbe18d273822a7532#]

How can I set Play Music to down load to Nand flash? I cant see any way to change the download location from internal storage to Nand flash. Everything I download goes into internal storage.

Also is there any way to easy-link with android 7.0?

Kind regards. James

Hi,
Cause you bought the unit from ebay store, you just need to tell us your ebay buyer/user ID, then we can use it to find you order and product information.
The Play music will be downloaded to the Nand flah memory, which is the system default path, I checked several third party music player, all of them work like I explained, hope you can understand.
For the easy-link with android 7.0, currently our unit does not support it, we are trying to release the new easy-link app to make it available.

Hi,

Is it at all possible to store Google Play Music downloaded playlists on an SD card on an 11-RQ0367E? Is there any other ROM that allows that? Alternatively, does Spotify allow storing data on the SD card on this unit?

Also, the internal memory seems to be divided into a 2GB portion of internal memory and the NAND flash (rest of the internal memory). However, I only seem to be able to download music to the 2GB portion (after the first ~350 MB playlist it told me I've run out of memory).

This situation has forced me to switch to Spotify (which saves to the SD card just fine, btw).

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply.
It's not possible to store the third party download file on an external SD card or USB stick.
For the internal memory, not all music could be only downloaded to the 2GB portion, it's also related to the third party app alternative download setting, just like the Spotify, and I ever downloaded the music on the NAND flash from our Chinese music app Kugou.
