Wifi dongle doesn't work

Order reference ID 026-5563390-7978757 from Amazon UK.

The wifi reception is not very good with the built in antenna. I have bought a wifi dongle, but it does not work in the USB socket. I've tested it on my home computer and the dongle is fine.

When I plug the dongle in, it flashes once, then nothing.

Sorry for the late reply due to the Chinese New Year's Day.
For the wifi reception, it's related to the wifi signal distance and the built in antenna, it may do not perform as well as the smartphone.
The wifi dongle will not work except the built in wifi could not be turned on.
You can connect to internet through the hot spot which share from your smartphone, and check if it works better.
