The lamps in the dashboard automatically adopts to the ambient light level. So, the voltage at the dashboard lamps varies. High voltage (12V) results in high light intensity. The light intensity is reduced by reducing that voltage (continous to 0 or near 0V) when the light is low. There is an automatic dimmer in the car doing this.
The only thing the Pumpkin head unit needs to do is to let this signal control the light intensity of the pumpkin display and switches.
How can I get that function?

...To be honest, the brightness of the screen can be only realize two status.
One,bright all the time, you can only adjust manually.(Ill cable disconnect)
And the other is dimer screen while your car lights on (Ill cable connected)
Can't automatically adjust brightness like you think.
Sorry.

Jam

Thanks!
OK. I understand.
It would be very nice to have that function in a future version of the firmware.
Maybe you can suggest it to the engineers in your softwaer development department.
