No steering wheel controls BMW E46 11RQ1130

Hi,
Can someone please help me I have recently had a Pumpkin 11-RQ1130 installed. The installer could not get the steering wheel controls working I have a 2005 BMW 325Ci coupe. I am also getting a lot of static through my radio. Is the CANBUS what works the SWC or do I need to purchase an aftermarket SWC controller. I was under the impression that it was plug and play.

The installer told me that my BMW has the amp etc in the rear boot compartment and that he had to make an extended harness to install the unit. From memory I think that I seen a key 1 and key 2 wire so any information that you could give me to fix these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Could you please first tell us your order number or buyer ID?
For the steering wheel control, it's just plug and play for this unit RQ1130. And the canbus decoder box with the power cable work the SWC.
Please check if the little whit and blue cable are connected, just like the below attached picture.

For the amp of your car, sorry, our unit does not support, and you indeed need an extended harness to make our unit work directly through your car speaker. There is a reminder information on our website ad.

If you still have problem about the SWC and amp, please take some picture of your original cable or send us the wiring diagram.
We will check it and give you further help.

Hi,
I had the unit professionally fitted for that reason that I needed the extension cable. I had the cable made up and the unit works fine but I am not getting steering wheel control.
I checked the wiring and the blue wire was connected to the blue wire I swapped the wire around to the white one like it showed in your diagram and then tried to program through the key learning function on the menu but still didn't work.
My brother purchased this entertainment system for me for my 50th birthday I will get the information that you required and will send it to you.

Hi,
Cause the steering wheel control of your car is controlled by the Canbus system, and our unit is just plug and play.
It does not support to program the key on the study learn menu.
I forget to tell us, when you swap the blue and white cable, please unplug the canbus box and reconnect it again.
And Please go to the settings--factory settings--application to check the option for Canbus mode, which should be NO.

I did all that and still no luck. I unplugged the canbus several times and checked that the factory setting was on no. I tried many combinations like with the unit powered on with the unit powered off and rebooting the stereo many times but no luck.
Do you have any other suggestions
