27-aqtu72-03 back up camera question

There is a wire coming out of the back of the device labeled something like "back up camera signal". Does this need to be given 12V when the car is placed in reverse?


27-AQTU72-03 in 08 Honda Pilot
Current issues:
1) Mic doesn't work with Android apps.
2) Steering wheel controls do not save correctly.
3) Graphics from standards apps like Google Maps do not render correctly. Aliasing effects make some text unreadable.

Hi,
The wire with label "Detecting wire for back a car" is used for get the trigger signal when put the car into reverse, then the unit will automatically switch to the rear camera image, it should get 12V power from the lamp light.
