Can not access Google

Okay odd problem. I replaced my unit with the newer version that allows video output to a tv. Now I can't get the unit to connect to Google to attach to an account or to update/download from the Play store. I have WiFi enabled and it is connected to my home computer network which has internet access. I've tried it several times with no luck getting it to connect. I checked the WiFi connection with a laptop and can access Google Play from the laptop.

The problem is that I have no maps loaded, and without being able to connect to google I can't get any maps.

I purchased a CN10-01201B single DIN Android stereo through Amazon US - order# 112-3114831-8971416.
The unit was replaced with the new version on 7/27/17
