CN10-02308B-08A-A axxess ASWC-1 CONNECTION

I just purchased and installed the CN10-02308B-08A-A Android 7.1. I am installing in a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe and have installed the AXXESS ASWC-1 however i cannot get steering wheel control to function. I properly initialized the insterface but i am confused on connecting to the K1 and K2 wires. The instuction on the ASWC say i only need the brown wire from the patch cable connected to the K1 and the instructions i find here say i need both. Please clarify which wires to use for this connection.

Hi, do as the instruction on the ASWC.In addition, you also need to connect the GND to ground.
