Screen fails to light up

Had model KD-C0109 for about a year without problems. Recently screen has failed to illuminate at start up though the touch screen appears to work. It illuminates itself sometime into the journey only spotted when I look down. I suspect when the unit warms up. Have reset unit, it has the latest firmware so baffled as to what has suddenly begun to happen. It is now of little use to set up the Sat/Nav before starting the journey.

Hi,
Do you mean the display screen become very dim ? You can contact the customer service to change an display screen.
