CN10-02201B - Spotify in background stops playing

I have the CN10-02201B unit.

When spotify is in the background (ie with maps open) the song stops playing. It seems other apps also pause in the background. Is there a way to fix this?

Hi,
you can set your common map app as default Navi app.If this can't help you,you can use original music app .Because the third party app is not completely controlled by the unit when they are put in background.

Hallo,

have the same problem using deezer, similar to spotify. Guys please don't blame youreself it suposed to be possible to run one 3rd party music app in background and a navigation app in front without closing the app in background. It makes no sence. Please help us. Isn't it to solve with an uptade for firmware?

This has also been requested in other forum posts.
I'm fairly sure that there's a task killer installed.

For a DIY fix it should be possible to either disable or reconfigure it, but I'm not aware of anyone having done it yet. There should be a way to view running/installed system apps, and from there to identify the task killer, then either disable it (Android really doesn't need one) or find it in the file system and see if there is a config file that exceptions could be added to.

Had this problem for two years. Main issue was the unit would not keep anything, even the time when car was powered off. Fixed that by switching the red and yellow wires. Next issue was my music player (PowerAmp) would get killed within a couple of minutes if in background, i.e. using Waze or even on launcher screen (Car Launcher Pro with leather theme). Finally found the solution. Settings > System Settings > Memory > Memory (Device section) > Background Clean Up List

Just toggle the checkbox for the app you want to remain active in background. Apparently some versions have them all checked, others have them all unchecked. Mine were all unchecked so I checked PowerAmp and... voila, music continues when using Waze, Torque, or just sitting one home screen.
