My car Mercedes Sprinter W906 Bj2013

My problem is the key lighting doesn't go on when i turn the light on of the car or if i put it in reverse it doesn't switch to the reverse cam.
I have thought that this unit can read the CAN-Bus and use this information. If i put 12V to the reverse cam input it switches to the cam and it works just fine.

Hi,
for the key light problem,if you don't mind ,you can enter settings - car settings - extra settings - panel light setting page and set it controlled by power to keep it light always. Or you can contact the customer service to get an new wire which we modified.

For the reverse problem,please make sure the reverse wire connected to the positive pole of reverse light .Then check whether the reverse light our put 11V ~13V power to the reverse cam while you put the car in reverse.

So the CAN BUS decoder is for nothing right?
I know i can turn the light on in the settings and i know how to wire the reverse cam that everything works.
Just wonder why there is a CAN BUS decoder when it is for nothing.

If i understand it correctly then the CANBUS Decoder is for nothing?

Hi,
no. Normally the can bus decoder decode the key light signal and steering wheel control signal and ACC signal and so on.
